Annika Thomas is a qualified Registered Nurse with over 16 years’ experience in the health care industry. Prior to joining O’Connell in 2019, Annika has worked solely in senior roles in the aged care sector. These roles include: Care Manager, Facility Manager and General Manager. She has worked for smaller stand-alone for-profit homes and a large Not-for-Profit organisation. As part of those roles, Annika oversaw both clinical and facility governance, and was actively involved in ensuring overall compliance with the aged care quality standards.
Since joining O’Connell, Annika has provided on-site clinical support to a number of Aged Care Providers either in a formal Nurse Advisor capacity for Homes that have had sanctions imposed, or in a Clinical Consultant capacity to undertake quality assurance reviews, quality gap analysis/rectification and pre-accreditation self-assessment reviews as well as Aged Care Administrator & Nurse Advisor Services.
